At Kinzler Corporation, a servant heart inspires how we support the communities we serve. As the parent company of WD Door, we’re proud to highlight WD Door’s involvement in the Greenland Homes Charity Build, an effort that raised $220,000 for Children’s Cancer Connection.
A Charity Build with Lasting Impact
In March, Greenland Homes shared the success of its latest charity home build near Saylorville Lake in Ankeny. WD Door partnered with Greenland Homes and other generous trade professionals to build the home, then donated all net proceeds from the sale directly to Children’s Cancer Connection (CCC). Through this effort, the project delivered meaningful support to Iowa families facing childhood cancer.
This achievement marked Greenland Homes’ seventh charity home benefiting Children’s Cancer Connection and continued a strong tradition of serving others through purpose-driven building.
WD Door’s Contribution
During the Charity Build, WD Door donated the garage door and garage door opener for the home. This contribution helped lower overall construction costs and allowed more funds to support CCC’s programs and the families who rely on them.
WD Door’s involvement reflects the broader mission of Kinzler Corporation, using our skills and resources across our companies to step in, lend a hand, and make a positive difference.
Supporting Children’s Cancer Connection
For more than 38 years, Children’s Cancer Connection has walked alongside Iowa families by offering free programs, camps, education, and support for children impacted by cancer and the people who love them. Each year, CCC brings encouragement, connection, and moments of joy to hundreds of families during challenging seasons of life.
Funds raised through the 2025 Charity Build will strengthen this mission and help CCC continue serving families at no cost to them.
